The Mississippi Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association (MIPRO) was formed August 22, 1989, by individual producers, mineral and royalty owners who recognized common goals of protecting the co-equal and correlative rights of each owner so that each may timely recover his just and equitable share of production revenues, and of protecting themselves from legislative and regulatory threats to their existence. The all-volunteer association monitors, informs its membership, and provides input regarding proposed legislation and administrative regulation affecting its membership. MIPRO is governed by a Board of Directors and officers that are elected annually. No company or individual disproportionately finances or sets MIPRO policy. |
